We had enjoyed our first Sunday family barbecue of 2026 and we (Paul & Karen, April & Harry, Jack & Hayley) were sitting in the kitchen watching George & Jack and Tallulah play in the garden, like they had been all afternoon.
When George went to kick the ball, he instead kicked one of his crocs over the neighbours' fence. This wasn't a huge problem but, as the neighbours were away, Harry had other ideas and spent about an hour trying to position the 4-stage ladder over the fence and/or chuck one of the boys over to get it back.
As always, Hayley was there to capture the drama unfolding - the final one when April told Harry to give it up.
